INSULTECH® Rapid Rise Blankets meet and exceed The UL1709 Rapid Rise Fire Test Method, designed to protect surface conditions from extreme temperature. INSULTECH® Rapid Rise Blanket Design: HT2000MSiTSiM withstands the severe rapid rise condition, of 2000 F rising within 5 minutes and maintaining this extreme temperature until failure. The UL 1709 Test Method demands a minimum duration of exposure of the equipment surface temperature, not to exceed 1000 F. INSULTECH® Rapid Rise Blankets withstand the minimum requirement of 30 minutes and under the current testing, the INSULTECH® duration lasted over 3 hours before failure.

The UL1709 test procedure has been the benchmark standard for many applications including: Structural Columns, Valve Actuators, Cable Trays, Instrumentation, Valve Bodies and much more.

INSULTECH® Rapid Rise Blankets are custom fit to match equipment surface geometry. The blanket enclosure is flexible with easy installation and removal capabilities. Drawcord flaps allow accommodations for Cable Entries, Handwheels, Clutch Mechanisms and Inspection.

INSULTECH® Rapid Rise Blankets are designed to match field conditions with a durable outer jacketing, capable of withstanding severe weather and chemical environments. Wiretwist fasteners are the chosen closure method for installation, removal and reinstallation. INSULTECH® Rapid Rise Blankets are pulled from a box, placed onto a fixture and tied in place by closing matchup seams. The blanket can be installed within minutes with a pair of leather gloves.
